Forget ‘New Year, new you! Start 2008 with a make-over you can stick to!

1001 is calling for householders to bring their spring clean forward on the back of research that shows the nations carpets are more likely to get into a state over the festive season, due to increased houseguests, new pets, plus food and drink. Traditionally these carpets will typically not be cleaned until April! As a result 1001 has launched National Carpet Cleaning Day on 10th January (10.01).

To celebrate the launch of National Carpet Cleaning Day, 1001 has teamed up with TV’s Perfect Housewife Anthea Turner and up and coming London Street artist Eine. Anthea will be offering professional advice, whilst Eine will be producing some exclusive artwork for the big day, using dirty carpet as his canvas and 1001 products as his tools. The carpet art will be exhibited at the Stella Dore Gallery, the newest and hottest gallery on the London art scene, from 10th January (10.01) for one week.

1001 cleaning expert, Anthea Turner comments: “ I will definitely be getting my 1001 out on 10th January and giving my carpets some post festive TLC. It’s great to start the New Year with your home looking and feeling clean and what better place to start than the carpets “.
